Reed Rippin - President
Reed has worked 30 years in the operations research field and has spent the last 20 years as a part-owner of RTR Technologies. As President, Reed is the Program Manager for all tasks under the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and is a subject matter expert on port of entry operations. He retains his PMP as he manages multiple technical teams whose mission is to provide expert knowledge of existing simulation modeling and operations research tools for use in analyzing the effects of DHS policies on current and planned site facilities. In addition, Reed manages a team of analysts performing assessments of newly deployed technologies at land, air, and sea ports-of-entry to measure the impact on Customs and Border Protection (CBP) operations. Reed also oversees RTR’s Department of Defense contracts.
Prior to his work with CBP and DHS; and the legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) and US Customs Service (USCS), Reed has developed and applied discrete-event simulation models to analyze business process improvement, workflow management, and readiness and logistics supportability to various programs/tasks supporting Army and Navy operations and readiness.
Randy Rippin – Consultant, Former Partner
Randy has over 40 years’ experience in managing divisions and teams in Operations Research, Computer and Information systems, Software Engineering, Simulation Modeling and Analysis. While serving in the U.S. Army, Randy was introduced to Computer Systems Operation and Software Programing. After honorable discharge, Randy worked as a civilian as a Department of Defense engineering contractor, supporting the Army and Navy programs. Randy eventually became the lead operation research analyst for NAVAIR readiness analysis and earned the position of Director of Operations Research, at a former technology business. Randy was instrumental in securing the first contract in support of then Immigration and Naturalization Service now Department of Homeland Security, a primary customer of RTR to this day.
Randy also formed, lead, and was the COO and principle managing partner for another technology firm prior to establishing RTR Technologies.
Randy currently serves as a consultant and still provides MS&A support to Navy NAVAIR customers responsible for maintaining aircraft readiness across the fleet. Randy provides Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in MS&A, border operations and NAVAIR readiness analysis for RTR’s customers.
